The ship can, however, be formidable in combat if used correctly, and with the right conditions, partially due to the hull strength being very high, for a civillian ship. It is also not heavily armed, for its size, having a maximum of fourteen to sixteen cannons. Another asset it has is its ability to hold a large amount of crew members, fourty, giving the caravel an advantage over several other ships when boarding. I found that an easy way to get them, is to get a fleet of about 3-4 decent ships, and upgrade their boarding capacities, simply use the boarding abilities such as falconets, muskets, and pistols, to kill the enemy crew. The ship is not especially fast, though it does have one of the biggest cargo holds of any merchent/civillian ship, making it good for trading and making money.
